Express Mobile Expands Web Editor Campaign
Express Mobile, Inc. filed a slew of new cases in its litigation campaign in early August. The campaign, ongoing since April 2015, has largely targeted companies for their use of various web editors like Drupal and WordPress. The entity’s campaign faced some challenges in the wake of the TC Heartland Supreme Court decision, as defendants questioned its ability to file suit in the Eastern District of Texas, a venue that was considered to be very plaintiff friendly. Express Mobile’s most recent filings are in the Northern District of California and the District of Delaware, indicating that it is trying a new strategy.

Karamelion LLC, an affiliate of Texas monetization firm IP Edge LLC, kicked off a new smart home campaign in July. The accused products include smart plugs, thermostats, light bulbs, and garage door controllers.
